Just some photos of Abby and Megan

I just wanted to put up some cute pictures of the girls together. These first two are of Rob and I trying to get Abby to go to sleep. We laid Megan next to her to get ready for family prayer. Megan was very happy and smiley so we took pictures.

IMG_3150 IMG_3149

These are just some cute photos of Abby wanted to make sure Megan didn’t fall over while in my bed. She jumped up into the bed and kept pushing her back up to a sitting position. She kept leaning in towards her. It was cute!

Megan's blessing

I just want to thank all of you who read my blog and attended Megan's blessing. I really appreciate you for coming to both the blessing and the luncheon afterwords. It was nice to visit with everyone. Rob did a really good job blessing her. My mother made the beautiful blessing dress. Rob's Mom made Abby's and did a great job as well. They are both equally beautiful.

Megan was a good girl for the most part with just a little fussing not heard to many during the blessing. Rob's dad said that she was a little tilted head down for a portion of it and someone raised her head.

Abby wanted to go up with Rob during the blessing so I had to talk her through it and tell her what was going on. She really like her little sister Megan and wanted to see what was going on.

Again thank you for coming and for the help that was given.

I WANT IT TO BE SUMMER!

I just have to say I am so tired of it being cold. There was one day that it wasn't too bad and I was excited then it turned freezing again. I am tired of it. I want summer to come even though I am not a huge late summer fan. I just am so tired of winter. I can't wait until it's warm enough to take Megan outside to let Abby play at the park. Abby need to get her wiggles out. She has cabin fever and so do I. I know that spring is coming soon, but I wish it would come faster. OK enough complaining.

I'll update you on the kids and us. Abby is doing great she is putting whole sentences together now. It always surprises Rob how many words she can put together not only that but that she can structure a sentences together pretty well. Example: "Mom can I have some, please?" or "It's dark in here."
There is also a new development, she is afraid of dinosaurs. My nephew loves them and has several toy dinosaurs that move. She now tells me that there are dinosaurs coming, while pointing to the top of the stairs. She won't go up there with out me now. She also is afraid of the dark and will not go into a room if it is pitch black.
She picks out her own clothes and insists on it being that way. We have to some days come to an agreement that she picks out the shirt and I pick out the pants. She insists on picking out the shoes though. She hates to have me do her hair and always yells "ouch" even before I do anything. She also loves music and dancing. Last night Rob was flipping through channels and the BYU channel had dancers on it. She insisted on watching it. She would watch them for a little bit then attempt to do the dance. She actually did pretty good for a two year old. It was so cute. Rob and I would like to put her in dance someday when we can afford it. I think she would love it.

Megan is smiling good now and has on occasion giggled. She is such a well behaved baby we are so lucky. She loves her big sister Abby and continues to smile at her all the time. She is getting very big now. She is starting to move into 6-9 month clothing. She turns 3 months on Sunday. They are a little long on her but fit her better around the waist then 3-6.

As for the rest of the family, Rob will most likely be starting his freelance business full time in a month or so. We are a little nervous about it, but he has wanted to for some time now. As for me, I am just working on keeping my house somewhat in order and trying to loose my baby fat plus some extra added pounds I don't like. I also have this new hobby if you can call it a hobby. Coupon clipping and finding great deals. I have been cutting our food budget by almost half recently by using coupons and only buying what is on sale. Makes sense to others but I wasn't very good at it. I also buy large quantities when they have really good sales and just freeze it or store it. Anyways that's about it for now

Nicole's Baby shower

So my sister Nicole just had her 4th child it is a boy and they named him Alex. The gap between her first boy and her second boy is almost eight years so my sister Tahnee and my Mother decided to throw Nicole a shower to help with things that she may not have for a little boy. Plus she has miss placed a lot of her boy items.
We had fun! Abby stayed in the room and watched. She was very interested in what was going on in her house. We played a game called name that poop. My sister Tahnee melted about 8 candy bars and smashed them into diapers. Then we are suppose to name that candy bar that is in it. We can smell it, taste it and even eat it to determine what the candy bar was.
Well for some reason the images will not upload so here is a link to my sisters blog she has them on hers

Abby had a great Christmas this year. My parents gave her a new handmade by my Mom Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls and night gown. Which Abby loves very much. She asks to wear the night gown a lot. She calls them rough rough jammies. As you can see in the pictures they have dogs on them.
Tahnee gave her a play microwave, that she plays with a lot. Also a shopping cart, she loves them both.
We also did grandchildren gift exchange were each child had another child to buy a gift for. Keili had Abby and she got her a cute Disney princess camera.
Brad and Misty and Sarabeth gave her a Barbie Christmas ornament for the tree.
It was a lot of fun to see her open presents this year.

New Years in St. George

We headed down to St. George for New Years. It was nice and warm. Abby was able to play outside again and not have snow on the ground. Here are some pictures of the fun we had.

Megan is 4 weeks old! Can you believe it?

Christmas

We had an interesting Christmas this year. We had planned to go to Rob's family in the morning then go to mine later that day. We ended up not going to ether because of bad weather. It was a Christmas at home this year. Yesturday we went to Rob's family and had a late Christmas dinner and opened and exchanged gifts. It was fun.
Abby had a fun Christmas she got a little mommy set that comes with a stroller , a car seat, and a bassinet for her baby. It also came with a new baby and diaper bag. She played with her new toys all day. Santa Claus also gave her Sleeping Beauty for Christmas.
Grandma and Grandpa field gave Abby a little people doll house. She loves it by the way. She carries the baby around and plays with the furniture in the doll house. She also got a new very cute sweater and shirt that match Megan's new sweater and shirt. Rob and I got some great gifts to all of which we love. It was a good Christmas for us. I'll put up pictures later.

Rob took some pictures of me with my two girls so I thought I would show you all.

We finally took pictures of Abby and Megan in there Christmas dresses. Abby did not cooperate very well for us to get a really good picture of her and Megan together. She wouldn't even sit alone for us to get one of just her. We are going to attempt it again though. We did get some very cute ones of Megan. At least we think so.

we did get some prints for the grandparents and great grandparents and they will be on there way soon. Hopefully shortly after Christmas. Hope you enjoy and Merry Christmas.

Megan's 2 week well child check

Megan had her two week check up yesterday and I just had to make a post about it. I have been concerned for 2 weeks now about her eating enough. She eats every 3 to 4 hours because I wake her up. Sometimes she will not wake up until 6 hours and does not eat for very long. So basically I was worried that she was going to be less then her birth weight. Well they weighed her and she is 11 lbs 14 ozs. Wow! I don't need to worry anymore. She has well exceded her birth weight. So now I have just been letting her eat when she tells me. She only wakes up once at night to eat. I feel so blessed to have such great kids.

Megan was born on Dec. 1st

Well, I was scheduled to be induced on Monday morning and at about 1:30am I was laying in bed and all of a sudden I felt pressure then a pop and water started to leak out. Well to make this short my water did break I had to go to sit on the toilet for a while before I could get dressed. I finally had to just get dressed and wear a pad to catch some of it leaking out. The funny part of this story is that Rob had just climbed into bed at about 1:00 pm ( he's a night owl ).

We headed to the hospital and they tested it and sure enough it was my water. So they called my doctor and he wanted them to wait and see if my body would dilate on it's own. On the way to the hospital I started to have contractions. Well I did dilate but it was slow about 1 cm an hour. I did ask for an epidural right away. I did not want to have to suffer through the contractions, I am a big baby. I finally got to almost a ten and stopped progressing. I had what they called a lip all the way around my cervix. At this point I could feel my contractions. They started to get painful, tolerable but still hurting. They would not give me another dose of the epidural because I was almost a ten. Well, three hours later and after putting me on pitocin and continually increasing it. I finally made it to a ten. By this point I could feel all of the pain, well I think I did because it hurt so bad. As soon as I started to push it felt so much better. Megan was facing the wrong was so my doctor had to turn her. I have never pushed so hard in my life. Finally at 1:14 pm she was born. My very last push was the last strength I had left in me. She did come out vaginally and was healthy and no broken bones on delivery. I only had a level one episiotemy as well.
Well, she weighted 9 pounds 13 ounces. She was 21 inches long. She is beautiful and we love her so very much.

Here is a link to the pictures that we have of her when she was born

Thanksgiving

This year we went to Thanksgiving at Rob's parents house. It was nice to see everyone and they all helped out so much with Abby. I appreciate all of your help with this pregnancy. It has been a rough ride, but it will be over soon. Anyway back to Thanksgiving, We had delicious food and pies. I have been wanting pumpkin pie for a while now and I have finally had some. It was great too!! Rob took some pictures while we were at his parents house.

Rob's Father also gave us a tour of Kathleen's store and there shop were he will have his business. It all likes very nice. Kathleen store is beautiful, Rob and I saw a lot of things that we would like to own for our house. Anyways, it was a very nice Thanksgiving.

Pregnancy update

Well they scheduled an induce date for Monday, December 1st.
We had another episode of false labor Thanksgiving morning. I was having contractions 5 minutes apart while at the hospital and measuring pretty intense. They checked me twice and I didn't dilate at all, I was still 1 centimeter. So of course as soon as I heard that I started to cry. These contractions are super painful. I know that labor hurts but it's just frustrating that it starts and nothing happens. At least they stop and go away for a few days. This time they gave me a shot of morphine and sent me home. I was out of it the whole day on Thanksgiving. I felt so week and disoriented. Hopefully I don't have to go through that again with out it being real labor. My mucus plug did fall out. I keep getting chunks of it. I had some Yesterday and today. Well that is all for the update.

What???

So I wasn't going to post a blog about this until we find out what the Doctor has decided to do but I am still shocked about what happened.
So I had another ultrasound on Wednesday, because a Parinatologist has to be the one to say yes induce her (sense I am 2 and a half weeks before my due date). The ultrasound went great other then being in horrible pain because Megan was fighting back, pushing her but up as far as she could. When she finished Rob asked the ultrasound tech how much the baby is weighting. She said, " This is give our take a pound, she weights 9 and a half pounds." my heart sunk. That is a huge baby for being still 2 and a half weeks before my due date.
I thought for sure they will induce me as soon as they can because of how big she is already. We had to wait for the Parinatologist to come in and talk to us. Basically, after asking her what she was going to recomend to my Doctor. She said that she was going to tell him to do a cervix test and basically see if I can go into laber on my own. That is all I know right now. I am a little concerned because babies grow a half a pound a week. So she is only going to get bigger. My dr just said after an email I sent him that we will discuss it on Monday. So we wait again.

SURPRISE!

So some of my friends in my ward had a surprise baby shower for me. They did it while my sister Misty was in town. We had planned to go and walk around the mall on Thursday morning. So Misty offered to do my hair for me. I thought, oh how nice that is that she would be willing to do that. Really what was going on was I was going to be late for a baby shower that I didn't know was happening. I ended up being 20 minutes late to it because I drug my feet getting ready. Well here are some pictures of the shower. I appreciate Haylee Shurter for doing this for me. Also for all those who came. It was a very nice surprise. Thank You!

Misc. Pictures of Abby

These are just some fun photos that I have taken over the past month of Abby. I am just finally getting the chance to put them up.

Breakdown of the pictures in the slide show:
  • 3 pictures of Abby very pleased with the art work she had created.
  • A picture of me reading to Abby.
  • A picture of Abby reading a book that I had just put down. She grabbed it and read it inside of a broken piece of furniture.
  • 3 pictures of Abby helping me clean the house.
  • One of her sleeping under her bed. Rob went and checked on her one night after we had put her to bed and he couldn't find her. So he started looking in our room and other rooms upstairs. He finally found her sleeping under her bed. How that happened, we have no idea.
  • There are some of her playing with her friend Ellie.
  • A picture of Abby's new snow hat. Now that it is actually cold enough for her to need one she will let me put one on her.

Trick or Treat

I was having trouble just posting these pictures so I put them on Rob's website.

I took Abby around on Halloween to go trick or treating. It was fun! For the most part she just stared in confusion as people would hand her candy. Then I friend of mine started to trick or treat with her kids so Abby did a few doors with one of her friends Ellie. Abby now wants to be a princess every day. she says "Abby princess?" It is very cute.

Pregnancy update

Well I had my first weekly appointment yesterday and he is measuring me almost three weeks farther along. So next Tuesday they are doing an ultrasound to see if I am farther along. If so they will be moving my due date up. I was super excited when he told me that. This same thing happened at the end of my pregnancy with Abby. When I was 38 weeks she was measuring 41 weeks. They did an ultrasound and it actually said that she was not as far along and that she weighed around 6 pounds. I delivered Abby ab
out 5 days later and she was 8 pounds 6 ounces. She also didn't have any of the white stuff, I can't remember what it is called, that babies have on them when they are first born. My doctor told me that it was a sign of being overdue for her to not have that anymore. So it will be interesting to see what happens this time. I am just hoping they move my due date up. I am so tired of being pregnant right now. But I only want to have if she will be fine coming out sooner then later.

Thanksgiving point

Abby and I went to Thanksgiving Point last Saturday. It was a lot of fun.
First of all I must thank my sister Tahnee for helping me out so much. Abby had a lot of fun because Tahnee helped me with her. The video above is Abby going down this big slide with Tahnee. She went down that slide at least 15 or so times. She loves slides so very much.

Wow it's been a while!!!

Sorry to all of those who are faithful readers of this blog. I have had a tough time lately being 33 weeks pregnant and sore all over. Here is an update on our lives as of September 25th.
Abby is still cute as can be and is a chatter box. She can put up to 4 words together in a row now. She speaks generally pretty clearly as well. She is definitely turning two soon, as we are experiencing more and more tantrums. She still is my little helper, though. All I have to do is say the words "can Abby help mommy" and off she goes doing what ever I need her to. It's fun having girls!
Abby and I painted pumpkins for Halloween. Rob took the pictures so I will have him put them up on the internet so you all can see. We used finger paints because that's all we have right now. So if it rains again we will be able to do another fun craft with the pumpkins. Abby is going to be a princess for Halloween. I will take pictures of her in her lovely Walmart costume. I wanted to sew her one but things just got tough with this pregnancy so I said no way.
Abby's new favorite movies are: Disney's Spirit (she loves horses, takes after her mother in so many ways) and Polar Express (She loves trains) and yes we have started watching a Christmas movie only because I am tired of watching the same 3 movies over and over again. She still likes Cinderella , Nemo , 101 Dalmatians and Little Mermaid. Yes we watch a lot of movies.
As for me and this pregnancy I am having lots of braxton Hick contractions. I counted and I had 10 in a two hour period. I had my doctors appointment today and he just told me if it comes to the point that they don't calm down or become less frequent when you sit down go to the hospital. So I am ok, I just have lot of uncomfortable and out of breath moments.
As for Rob, he is now working at Lumenas Animation Studios in Salt Lake City. He likes it so much more then his previous job. They actually appreciate his talent. He still hates the drive but it makes it a tiny bit better when you like your job. That's about all for out little family.

Abby loves books

So this morning I woke up to Abby saying, "Mommy up" over and over again. She does that every time now. I am ok with that, I would rather have her come and get me instead of wondering around the house getting into things that I don't want her to get into.
When I got up to get her I noticed that she had something in her hands. She was carrying her blanket in one hand and the other had a book in it. That is all she has been wanting to do lately is read read read. Fine with me. I think it's really cute. I was worried for a while because I couldn't get her to read a book for a while. Now she wont stop. Fun times.

just some fun stuff

This is a video of Abby attempting to put a shirt on all by herself. She is such a cutie

The story behind this picture is that yesterday after church Rob was sitting on the floor in front of the TV and Abby walked up to him, put her hand on his head then started to give him head rubs. That wasn't good enough so she walked around the table climbed up onto it and scooted close to Rob and started giving him more head rubs. I started to laugh and ran to get the camera. I was able to get a cute photo before she realized I was taking a picture. Apparently she notices that Daddy likes head rubs. She has been very happy to have Daddy home all day.

Today was Rob's first day at his new job. So she has been asking for Daddy today. When ever we go down stairs and Rob is upstairs she always says "bye Dada". Today, every time we go down stairs she says "bye Dada" over and over again. She says it until Rob responds bye Abby. But today he did because he wasn't here. So I had to remind her that Daddy is at work.

I have also been taking Abby to Mother Goose time at the library. It is on Monday's at 11:00 am. She mostly likes it, she gets a little bored and starts to run around. She really likes it when they sing. I keep taking her because it has helped her want to read more. She started to not allow me to read books to her. She loves it now and I am constantly being asked to read to her. I am grateful that she enjoys reading so much.
Some other new things about Abby she is sleeping very good in her new bed. She also is starting to ask to go potty more and actually goes now. She has asked me 9 times now to go potty and she actually does. So tomorrow I am going to spend the whole day potty training Abby. I bought her big girl underwear and some yummy sugary drinks to help her need to go more often. I read in a book that it helps to give them a lot to drink when you are potty training because it gives them more opportunity to learn.
She also has just taken off with words. She can put 3 to 4 words together now. She says thank you and please when she needs something and gets it from us. Wow there a lot of new things that I haven't written about. I will have to right the rest another day. I am running out of time. Well hope you all enjoy. Thanks for reading

Just want to brag!

I have the best child in the world, I swear.
So I finally found a toddler bed for Abby and we put it in her room today. When it came time to go to bed she just went right to bed. She didn't try to climb out or anything. She is the easiest kid to raise. I feel very blessed to have such a good little girl. I have been worried about this time for a while now and yet again Abby always surprises me. I always worry that something is going to take a while or be hard to get Abby to do and nope she just does it.
I made a slide show of some pictures of her sleeping in her bed. I put some other random photos on the slide show too. The brake down of the pictures are as follows. 1-2 are pictures of Abby's attempt to put make up on. 3-4, Rob lost his hat a while ago so for his birthday we bought him a new one. We let Abby put it on in those two photos. There is also a photo with Abby in the bathtub with her diaper on and white stuff on her hands. I let Abby help me paint this bench that I have had for about a year. Abby and I had fun , messy fun, but hey why not. When she started wanting to explore other things that could be painted white, I had Rob come and give her a bath. The last pictures are of her sleeping in her cute new bed.

PINK!

So I think Abby's favorite color is pink. She as asks to wear something pink a lot. She will also tell me when something is pink. She doesn't usually do that with any other color. She can tell me what some colors are. Rob thinks its interesting that most girls like pink. Abby is definitely a girl.

Mindy's Family Reunion

Well this past weekend we drove down to Mayfield, Utah. We didn't end up leaving our house until 8:00pm. We arrived at the camping spot for the family reunion at 11:30 pm. Yes we drove for 3 and a half hours because I missed the sign that pointed us in the direction of the camp. It was a frustrating night for both Rob and I. We almost just turned around and drove all the way home and didn't even go. But, finally we found it and we had a lot of fun.
Abby loves to camp. She wants to explore everything and Rob and I being first time parents are nervous about everything. So we spent the whole time telling Abby no don't pick up that or no don't touch that or stay her don't run off. All in all it was fun and we got to get away from home for a few days.
Here are some pictures of our trip. click here to see photos

We've decided on a name

Well after talking it over Rob and I have decided to name our new addition when she is born; Megan.

Wednesday, July 23, 2008

Possible baby names

Well for those who are curious here are a few names that we have thought on the last little bit. Maggie and Megan. Which is really funnny, because they both originated from Margarat. If we named her Maggie it would be Margarat and we would just call her Maggie. If we decided on Megan it would just be Megan. That is all that we have talked about. I will keep you posted of any more names.

IT'S A GIRL

I had my ultrasound yesterday and yep it's a girl. Rob and I were both sure that it was a boy so what a surprise. Rob wanted another little girl and I really didn't care girl or boy. I can say that I am way excited to have another girl. Abby is been so much fun, and they can be friends. Well that is my news for all of you who have been patiently waiting to know what I am having.

We were bored.

Today Abby and I were bored so I took her into our back yard and played in the water. I was trying to water our overgrown jungle and Abby grabbed the hose and just started swinging it around. So, Rob being the photographer that he is grabbed the camera and took some pictures. He always does a really good job when he does. So here is a link to the photos from our little activity.

Abby's first haircut!

Abby got her first haircut on Thursday by a friend of mine who cuts hair. I think it is so stinking cute. I went and bought some head bands to put in it and I also put the cute clips that Nicole and Amy made for her. She doesn't keep them in for long, but I try.

4th of July campout

It's a Nielsen family tradition to go camping on the 4th of July so yep we went. Abby absolutely loved it. She didn't even want to sleep because of all of the excitement. Here are some photos of the trip

Abby just loves my nephew Kempton, we call him Buh Buh. So Abby the whole time would go around saying Buh Buh, it was cute. He is only two months younger then Abby which was nice because they were old enough to play together. Rob and my dad brought there bows to practice for the hunt coming up in August. Rob took some pictures of him shooting. He's a really good shot at the bow and rifle. Also my Sister and her husband bought a puppy. Abby loves dogs until now, she was attacked many times by this playful pup. She is super cautious and nervous around dogs now. She wouldn't even let us be away from her anytime the dog was near even if it was on a leash. Well that was our fun trip enjoy the photos.

Huge disappointment!

So I went to my Doctors appointment today excited to find out what I am having and they canceled my ultrasound. They moved it to two weeks from now.
My Doctor said that they don't like to do ultrasounds any earlier then 19 weeks because they wont be able to check the chambers of the heart and things like that. It was the receptionist at the doctors office that made the mistake and scheduled it too earlier. That's OK though, it's actually better this way because I want to make sure everything is good with the baby more then find out what it is. So I can patiently wait two more weeks to find out.

Picnic at Nunns Park

On Sunday we went to Nunns Park up Provo Canyon to have a picnic. We all wanted to say farewell to Rachel and Jeff Brown; they are moving to Iowa for Jeff to attend chiropractic school. We had lots of fun and enjoyed the wonderful food and weather. Here is a link to the photos that we took while we were there: Picnic Photos. P.S. we put up a few photos that Rachel took while Rob was giving her some pointers on photography. Rob wants me to mention that I took the cute pictures of the baby bird climbing the tree.

Painting with Abby

Abby and I had a lot of fun painting yesterday. As you can see Abby had a little more fun then was intended. Good thing it's washable paint. She actually had fun this time. She even painted her hand and didn't get upset about paint being on her hands. We did have to clean them a couple of times, I just keep baby wipes on hand. Easy cleaning, at least clean enough to keep Abby willing to paint some more.

"Thank You"

I just wanted to brag about my cute little girl. She says Thank you all the time now. She is so stinking cute. Whenever you hand her something or she gives you something she says Thank you. At the play ground yesterday she said thank you to a little girl who gave Abby's stroller back to her. It was so cute. I have been working hard because I want Abby to be polite. It is very rewarding to see some of my work paying off. Well that's all for now.

Trip to Alabama

Abby and I just got back on Tuesday night from visiting my sister in Alabama. I loved it, I got to hang out with my twin sister for a whole week. Abby on the other hand had a really hard time. The plane ride was fine she loved watching people. It was a little crazy with all of the luggage, but the ride was not that bad.
Abby had a hard time while at my sisters house. She just wasn't use to being in a new environment for a long period of time. Plus we had 2 children around the same age heading into the terrible twos hanging around each other all day long. Misty and I had to brake up lots of hair pulling and pushing and crying. By about the middle of the trip Abby had enough and was frustrated the whole rest of the time.
It was fun though, I make it out to be like it was horrible trip. It was really fun. We drove up to Nashville, TN and were able to see some of the sights up there. We also got to see some of the sight in Huntsville, AL. It was a really fun trip all together. I am leaving a link to pictures of the trip.

In the photos you will see Opry Land Hotel ( the inside ). Also the Grand Ole Opry, which was cool because I am a country music lover. We also tried to go and see Fan Fair that was going on while we were there but where not able to. We also went to a place in Huntsville Alabama called the Botanical Gardens. There was this building were butterflies migrate to once a year. You walk in and there are lots of butterflies flying around. Abby loved it. She kept pointing to the butterflies and smiling it was really quite. Well I think that is about all for describing the pictures in the slide show so hope you enjoy.
I should add one last thing Abby and Beth did get along most of the time they just fought more then I anticipated. They were cute Abby would give her a hug every once in a while. They would share some things. But they are both strong willed and when they want something they want it and nothing else.

We painted our toe nails

I bought some finger nail polish and we painted our toe nails. I attempted to let Abby paint mine but as you can guess, it didn't go all that well. She didn't make a mess of anything but my feet so that was good. She kept pointing to her toes and then to mine for a while after that. Even the next day. She has started to say pretty and kept saying it when she would point to her toes. Sometimes it is fun to just be girlie. I NEVER paint my toe nails because I don't like to draw attention to my feet, but Abby liked it so I did it. The things that you do for those that you love. Also I don't think that you can tell in this photo but Abby and I are both developing a tan from spending so much time outside. Abby has never gotten a sun burn (cross my fingers). We only spend spirts of time out there several times a day. But hey we are tanning nicely. Well my feet and my arms and face. I don't where shorts so my legs are white as ever.
Also Abby likes to attempt to do everything herself. Here is a picture of her trying to clip her toe nails. The clippers are closed for those of you who are concerned for her safety. She hasn't figured out that you need to open them. She is also watched very closely when she tries. She basically just puts them up to her nails and a says clip clip.
Also as you might be able to see her hair is growing in. The front piece is long enough that I can brush it to the side and it looks really cute.

Abby and I were just goofing off one day and these are the picture of what happens when we just play around

Abby at the playground

Rob bought a new digital camera and took some pictures of Abby while we were out playing. He did a really good job and Abby even posed in them. He posted them on his website so you all could see: click here to see them.

We're expecting # 2 on December 7th

Well for all of you who do not know yet. I thought I should make an announcement, I AM PREGNANT! My due date is December 7th (anniversary of pearl harbor). I am 12 weeks pregnant and man I had a rough time the last few weeks. Well it all started around 8 weeks so its been almost a month now. I have been throwing up a lot. Abby has been pretty good about it, except for the hitting me on the head with the toilet lid as my head is over it. It's actually funny now that I think about it. Anyways I am started to feel better and when I do have a bad day the doctor prescribed me some medication to take to help. Also I am one of those lucky people who show really fast and get really big so I am starting to show. Maybe I will put a picture on here we will see.
I love to read about pregnancy stuff while I am pregnant so I get these emails everyday about my pregnancy. Right now the baby is 2 and a half inches long and is about a half an ounce. Tiny little guy but he seams to be hanging in there.
As for everything else. Abby has pied in the toilet 5 times now and she will tell me when she needs to go. It's hard to potty train. I forget a lot to take her in to go and sometimes she just wont. I don't want to force her because then she just wont do it. So hopefully by the time she is 2 we'll have her potty trained. If not that is fine to. I am just glad that she is interested this early. It makes me hopeful that when the new baby comes I will only have to change one diaper.

Abby peed in the toilet twice.

I still can't believe it, but yes Abby pied in the toilet twice yesterday. She asked to go potty so I took her to the bathroom. We sat and sat and sat and nothing. So I went to take her off and she said pee again so I put her back on. Again we sat and sat and sat and nothing. So, I took her off again and she said pee again. So I thought, I will try one more time and if she doesn't I will just take her out of the room and distract her with something else. Then all of a sudden she got this serious look on her face and she pied. I was so excited. Abby just smiled kind of shocked. We celebrated and then in about an hour and a half she asked to go again and sure enough she went again. This time she just laughed when she pied. She is such a silly kid sometimes.
We haven't had any luck today but I'm sure it will be like this for a while until she grasps the concept that we only pee in the toilet. Well that is our exciting news for the day.

My little helper

Abby always likes to help no matter what I am doing. Sometimes she tries to help and just gets in the way. These are pictures of Abby helping put the dishes away. She loved it. I try to let her help whenever I can. She gets upset if I don't.

Some other cute things Abby can do now. I say a prayer over every meal and Abby started to notice that Rob and I fold our arms. So, Rob showed her how and now all I have to do is tell Abby we are going to pray and she will shake her head yes and fold her arms. She keeps them folded during the whole prayer. It is so cute. I didn't realize that she would be able to do something like that this young.

Also about two weeks ago Abby started to say Mama pee and point to her diaper. So I would change her and sure enough every time she had peed (this made for a lot of wasted diapers because I was having to change her way more often). She would even grab some toilet paper and try to wipe. One day she pointed to the toilet and said Mama pee. So I decided maybe she is ready to potty train. So I went and bought a little padded seat that sits on the toilet that is small enough for her little bum. She loves to sit on the toilet and go pee. She hasn't actually done anything yet but we keep trying. She does like to wipe though. I think she might like the fact that she gets to sit on the toilet and put paper in it more then just sitting on it. Hopefully some day she gets it. I am trying not to push her so I ask her if she wants to go potty and sure enough every time she does. I am sure one day she will be sick of it. I am just hoping that she pees once before that happens so that she gets why I am doing this. Also hopefully I can get her trained before her 2nd birthday. We'll see. If not that is ok too.

Bean Museum

We took Abby to the Bean museum a couple of weeks ago. For those who don't know, the Bean museum is on B.Y.Us campus. It's a wildlife museum with taxidermy animals from all around the world. Here are some pictures of the trip. She seamed interested in the children more then the animals.

Abby on the pony

The Animal Farm!

On Saturday Thanksgiving point had an even were you could pet the baby animals. So we took Abby because she LOVES animals. Well until you get close to one. She acted weird about it the whole time. Oh well it was good exposure for her.
This is a picture of Abby look at the sheep it moved close to her and she backed away. She wouldn't even touch the fence. Can't blame her though the animal is twice her size. If an animal twice my size started to move towards me I would back away too.

This is how they let you pet the baby animals. Wow that's exciting!! You can I guess stick you hand through the fence and pet them. I guess this was the best they could do. There was a lot of people around and it would be hard to let the kids come up and pet a free baby animal.
I tried to get pictures of Abby's face in these. It was a little difficult so I apologize.

Rob was trying to get Abby to let the baby animal ( I think it was a goat) eat a piece of corn off of her hand. It just kept falling out of her hand before the baby goat would get to it. Oh well he tried. I think Abby would have freaked out if he had actually touched her though. So good thing.

There are three new posts so keep scrulling down.

My little Snow White

Abby has a Snow White costume. Keili gave it to her. She didn't care too much for it at first. But I brought it home and now she likes to ware it. She looks really cute in it.

Abby watching BAABEE! (baby Abby) on the TV

Abby started one day pointing at the computer and saying Baabee. So I started showing her videos of herself and I realized that she was trying to tell me that she wanted to see baby Abby. Rob and I haven't got out of the habit of calling her baby Abby. So Abby refers to her self as Baabee. That is baby Abby as one word. At least to Abby. She only separates them when I keep telling her Abby then she will say Abby and some times baby Abby.
This is a video of what it looks like when she is watching Baabee on the TV or computer. It's actually really cute to see her look at herself. She looks up at me all the time like she does on the video. Fun stuff.

This is what happens when a 15 mth old tries to help with the laundry. She mad a game of it.

I haven't been good at keeping up on the laundry so Abby and I spent one whole day doing it. Well all of it still isn't put away but I got them washed and dried. There are only two loads out of like 6 that need to be put away. Anyways, this video is the after math of struggling with a 15 mth old girl to allow me to put the clean laundry back in the basket. As you can see she won. Well actually I just thought she was so cute pushing it around so I filmed her doing it. It took me about 15 to 20 minutes for her to be done with pushing the basket around long enough for me to put laundry in it. She was very helpful with that part. She would grab the nicely folded laundry and chuck it in the basket. There goes my folding job. But hey she had lots of fun and she was helping.
You know I've been thinking a lot about being a Mom lately. It's the most rewarding thing I have ever been through in my life. There are MANY more enjoyable times then crapy times. I read the Ensign article this month from the first presidency about parenting. It made me think more and more about how greatful I am to be a Mom and having such a great little girl. I have decided to more appreciative of the little things that Abby does like destroying my folded laundry. This stuff is so easy to fix it's not worth getting upset about. Just laugh and have fun is what I am trying to do more of. Abby has actually stopped acting up as much.
