Mega-gail

Abby asked me about 2 or 3 weeks ago if Megan's real name was Mega-gail. I laughed and then explained that Megan's name is Megan and we call her Meggie for short. Like we call you Abby. Kids say the funniest things.

Megan Update

 

Just thought I’d put up some photos of Megan taken today before she went to bed.  You can’t see anything but her eyes in her ladybug costume, and the last photos of her down below look really young!

We just put the girls to bed.  They had fun with Trick or Treating tonight and with handing out candy to the neighbor kids (well, Abby did- Megan just enjoyed begging Daddy to open more candy for her.)

Misty had her baby (Boy)

He was 7lbs and 13oz

He was born last Monday.

Healthy baby.

His name is Sam.

Megan took a few steps on her own.

Megan has been very adventures lately. She walked a few steps from one couch to the other. She has been also attempting to walk from our coffee table to me.
Also, Abby is officially potty trained with peeing but pooping is another struggle.
She now will actually take herself into the bathroom and says "No, Mom I do it by my big self". She usually just asks for the light to be turned on. Yeah!!!
We are still working on #2 though. That one is the hardest for me to deal with, but she will figure it out one day.

Megan is crawling

So today finally Megan crawled. I'll have to get a video of her, so you can see. She looks silly sometimes when she crawls. She still prefers to walk around holding my hand. In fact if I am any where near her she will just repeatedly reach for my index finger to hold so she can get the object she wants by walking. I have been forcing her to crawl, poor Megan. But, she finally did it. YEAH!!

Happy Birthday Elli and Laney

My friend Hayley is a hair stylist, her daughter is Elli. She gave all the girls Princess hair. It was such a fun birthday party.

What cute hair! She kept that in for the rest of the day. She loved it! There is no way I could reproduce that or get her to sit still for me . But it makes a cute picture.

They all started to dance around it was quite cute. As you can see Cinderella and Prince Charming are dancing.

Abby loves her Halloween costume. She is going to be Cinderella this year. All we need now is some shoes and she is set.

Funny Abby

Abby just kept stacking things on her stroller until it looked like this. It kind of reminds me of a homeless person. They stack everything they can fit onto there cart , what ever it may be. Also if you look at the second picture she totally ran over her stuffed dog, OUCH!!

Rob

Megan has a tooth

About a week and a half ago Megan got her first tooth. She was really fussy and had a fever then up came a tooth. We thought she was sick but nope she was just teething.

Abby very sick

So yesterday all day long Abby played like normal Abby then all of a sudden she just got sad and cuddly. When I held her she felt really hot to me so I checked her temperature. It was 101.6 degrees. Last night was crappy she kept throwing up and her temperature got to 102.6. I got a total of maybe 4 hours of sleep last night. 2 hours here and 2 hours there. We changed Abby clothes three times and washed her bedding twice. We finally put her in bed with us and Rob stayed up the whole night just to make sure she was okay. He just went and laid down maybe 30 minutes ago. Poor Abby she is really sick. Megan is up now so that is all the sleep I will be getting.

Best Prayer Ever

Abby just gave the most ridiculous prayer ever, all by herself.  This is it, in it's entirety:

"Dear Heavenly Father;

Thank you for food.  Thank you for Abby eat cookies.  Please bless Abby eat cookies.

Name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

Mindy's new Job

So I have a new job! There is this website called savvyshopperdeals.com I have been looking at the site for a year now. It's great deals in Utah county with or without coupons. I have been saving us so much money by using coupons it's crazy. For example I bought 2 jumbo packs of diapers 2 days ago for $3 Huggies brand. For those of you who do not buy diapers they are normally $9.99 each. So I paid 1.50 each. WOW!!!
Well about two weeks ago this website I go to had a post for people who were interested in becoming a savvy shopper trainer. So I interviewed and go the job. I basically teach people how to use coupons and get at least 50% off on there groceries. They hired 10 people out of 50+. So if anyone is interested in learning how they could save money. I teach free classes. I come to homes or Enrichment meetings. Just let me know.

Mama ..... Dada

This morning at 5:30 am I woke up to a someone saying Mama. I jumped up and thought was that Megan. Sure enough she was awake and started to kick as soon as she saw me coming. I didn't know if it was just a coincidence that she happened to say Mama or not. Then later today Rob was playing the the girls, while I made dinner and at one point he came in to the kitchen to see how much longer it was going to be and Megan kept saying Dada Dada over and over again. Rob said "I think she knows what our names are because of her calling out to him Dada Dada". Coincidence or not she said Mama and Dada (Mama first, hehe).

Abby’s Cute Hair Day

 

Mindy curled Abby’s hair today and Abby loved it.  When Mindy completed the first curl and let Abby see it she immediately demanded that Mindy “do another”.  As soon as Mindy would finish another curl Abby would demand “more!” She was so proud of her pretty hair that I decided to take some pictures for posterity.  Here you go:

Meggy’s First Solid Food

 

Yesterday Megan had her first official solid food (we’ve let her suck on popsicles a few times).  She was extremely excited to finally be offered real food(she was shaking), but she managed to restrain herself and eat pretty carefully.  Here’s some photos:

Potty training frustrations!!

I absolutely dislike potty training. Abby is doing okay with peeing but she has pooped 5 times in 36 hours, all in her panties. I just throw them away because that is sick to have to clean that out. Plus it leaves stains I have yet to find anything that gets it all out. Anyhow I am just really frustrated and had to vent.

On a good note Megan sat up today for a few seconds all by her self. She still has not rolled over from her back to her front. Every day I show her how and have Abby help me. She just cries and fusses until I stop. So apparently she is content with being on her back. Also I am getting ready to start her on baby food. She has at least a couple of times grabbed Abby's food right out of her hands or mine. So that will be fun. That is our update on the kids.

I just wanted to put up some cute pictures of the girls together. These first two are of Rob and I trying to get Abby to go to sleep. We laid Megan next to her to get ready for family prayer. Megan was very happy and smiley so we took pictures.

These are just some cute photos of Abby wanted to make sure Megan didn’t fall over while in my bed. She jumped up into the bed and kept pushing her back up to a sitting position. She kept leaning in towards her. It was cute!
