Abby took her first steps on Saturday!

It was so exciting! My mom was in town and we had her walk from back and forth between us. She took six steps, several times. I have a video of Rob and I trying to get her to do it on Sunday but there was too much going on and she was to excited so she didn't do very well.

She also makes funny faces now. She will wrinkle her nose and make puffing noises. Matt and Amy, Jake and Nicole were over on Friday and she did it a couple of times for them. It is really funny. She also has enough hair to attempt to style it so I have a picture of me trying to style it.
I just spike it up in the back using some jell, then I comb the front to one side. She looks more like a girl now. Next time I go shopping I am going to buy some cute things to put in her hair. I don't know if we told you already but she can climb up the stairs. She isn't very good but she loves the stairs. So we have to put a gate up until she is really good at going up and down. I give her supervised attempts so she can learn.
Also here is a picture of Abby in her crib calling out to me to come and get her. It is so funny. She doesn't cry in the morning or at night when she wants me. She just yells. It sounds like she is saying; hay...hay...hay...mom....hay....hay...mom. Rob and I laugh about it all the time. Its pretty funny.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Rob's TV show that he has been working on for a month now, is going to premiere tomorrow night 8/7c on ABC. Its called, "Pushing Daisies". If anyone is interested here is the link:

Well I thought that I would update you all on Abby's most recent accomplishments. This is a cute picture of Abby in a jacket. It is getting cold out here so when Abby and i go for our daily walks I put this cute jacket on her. She can also where her Old Navy shoes that I bought her about 4 moths ago. She has them on in this picture. She also points now. It is so cute. Rob and Tahnee noticed it before I did. They pointed it out to me yesterday. Anyways it's really cute. She also makes a huge mess when she eats. Every time I feed her I have to sweep up under her chair and around it. Rob says that she gets more on the floor then she gets in her mouth. He's probably right. She also likes to pull anything and everything out of containers. So I have to keep a good watch on her or she makes a really big mess. As you can see in these pictures. Also the last couple of days Rob and I have been working on her walking. She is getting closer. She also isn't as afraid of the vacuum anymore. She will sit and watch me vacuum instead of crying the whole time. As soon as I get close to her she runs (Crawls) away. She will also crawl away from you if you play chase her by crawling to her. Its a lot of fun. She is more interactive now. She will actually play with you now. Well that is about it for now. Abby is trying to help me type and is making the very difficult. love you all and enjoy. oh P.S. thanks for the stroller Matt and Amy it is well used. I appreciate it.

So I said that I would put up some pictures of my Watercolor painting that I have been doing. This is a homework assignment that I have been working on all week. I started over three times before I finally stuck with one and painted it to the end. Last night I was really frustrated because I just could not get it to look right. Rob gave me a pep talk and today I started painting again. Now I have finished the painting and this is what it looks like. We were suppose paint some fall leaves and lap them doing different techniques for each one. It's not bad for only 4 classes that I have attended so far. Its fun I like doing it a lot. Its not professional but not bad. Anyways, I also took some pictures of flowers today. There not too bad so I will put them as well.Wow this looks like an art gallery sorry.

Abby can clap! its so cute.

Abby can clap now. She does it all the time. This is one video of her clapping. She claps at the end. I will try to get some more videos of her clapping. Its hard because as soon as I pull the camera out she wants to play with it, so she gets distracted. She also sleeps pretty much through the night. I couldn't take it anymore so I had to just let her cry it out. The last couple of nights she woke up and cried for only a short period of time. Then went back to sleep. It makes my life so much easier. I can get 8 hours of sleep now.

She can stand up on her own now. I only have one video of her trying to. Its hard to get her to when you are near her because she just reaches out for you and falls over. She stood Yesterday for a while. She was playing with a toy, standing up next to the coffee table but not leaning on to it or holding on.
She loves to play with the control the the T.V. Its not too good, because she changes the channel while you are watching it. We usually hide it. This is a picture of Abby after she had turned off the T.V. as you can see it is off in the back ground. Rob now has competition for the remote.

As for Rob and I:
Rob has been working late for about 2 weeks now. They have an ABC TV show that they are working on. The deadline was suppose to be last Friday but that didn't happen, even with them working late nights. So this week he is working late again. Its OK though this project is really good for the company. Last night Rob didn't even get to see Abby awake. He didn't get home until 9:00pm Abby went to sleep at 8:15pm I tried to keep her awake but she was so cranky.
As for me, I am still taking that watercolor painting class. Its a lot of fun. I practice when ever Abby takes her naps. I am getting better at it. I am not to the point that I feel like I could make a good painting though, but I am getting better at the techniques. Supposedly this week in class we are suppose to paint a still life painting. I think she said it was going to be an apple, I am not sure. we will see how it turns out. Water color is hard. I painted in high school with acrylic paints and I like them a lot better. But I thought that I would try something new. A lot of practice should help. You cant become good at something with out lots of practice. So I practice, practice, practice. I should say as much as I can with Abby.

Abby is really good at crawling now. She gets into EVERYTHING!!!! She stood on her own the other day. While Rob was holding her, he let go for a couple of seconds and she stood there all on her own. We were so excited. She is progressing fast. She loves toys that she can dig things out of best, like buckets etc. I can get her to play with those the longest. Oh and last night Abby slept for ten hours with out waking up once. Wow! that was so great for me. hopefully this continues we will see.
Rob went hunting this last weekend. They didn't see anything that he could shoot. I think that he might go one more time before the season ends. Hopeful he gets something if not its ok. He is having a lot of fun though.
I have signed up for a watercolor class on Saturday mornings. It is good for me to have something to do other then clean the house and take care of Abby. Not that those aren't things that I enjoy. I just need time out. Anyways it is a lot of fun. I have only gone one week so far but I can tell already that I am going to enjoy it. Maybe I will take a picture of some of my painting and post them. We will see.

Rob and Mik (Rob's friend) went with my dad scouting out there hunt that is coming up at the end of the month. They hiked in with there packs and spent the night on the mountain. They woke up at 4:00 am and hiked in the dark to the spot were they are going to dear hunt. These are some picture of the trip. The trip was fun and hard as well. They talked about how far the hike was and how hard it was to hike up to the top of what is called Seeley Mountain. The picture of Rob at the top is them making it to the top of Seeley Mountain. Rob has his bow now and is all set an ready to go on the deer and elk hunts. He is way excited about the hunt this year. My dad says that he thinks the hunts will be very successful this year.

Abby had her Doctors appointment last Friday. She is doing good. she is 27 inches long and weights 16lbs 4ozs. Wow, I cant believe she is almost 7 mths now! Time sure flies. This is a picture of her two cousins Davey & Keili. Keili loves to hold Abby even though she is practically the same size. Abby gets a little nervous.
Abby also has a new cousin that was born on July 31st. My sister Nicole had her baby. She was 6 lbs 11 ounces. She was 3 weeks early. My sister had a lot of complication's during her pregnancy so we are just glad that she is healthy and finally here with us. She seams to be a well tempered baby. She barely even cries. She has been home now for 3 days and Keili loves to have a new baby sister. That makes for 4 new grand babies in my family in one year.
Abby is also very close to crawling. She can scoot herself around pretty good she just gets tired. She leans over while sitting and gets up onto her knees and hands and rocks then falls onto her belly. She is pretty close.

Hello everyone. Sarabeth has A new heart!!! They found a donor Yesterday. They did the surgery early this morning around 1:00am. Misty called me and said that Beth is doing good. They will be taking her oxygen tube out tomorrow, which is a good sign.


As for us we are doing good. Not much new. I have a few new pictures of Abby that I would like to share with everyone. In this picture to the left she for some reason like to sit like this in her car seat. Ron and I thought it was funny so we took a picture of it. It is almost like she is hanging on for her life. She still puts everything in her mouth. She likes to put this toy in her mouth and suck on it. It probably feels good on her gums because it is textured. This picture to the right, Abby decides to roll under her bouncer and got stuck. She started to fuss so I turned around to see what was going on and found her stuck under it. I thought it was funny at he time. So I took a picture, as you can see she loves to pose for the camera.
My brother is visiting my sister Misty in Tennessee. This is his little boy to the left. Abby was really interested in him. She kept trying to grab him. Abby is about the same size as him. His name is Kempton. My niece was over as well, my brothers daughter, Sariah. This is her to the right. She was very helpful with Abby. She wanted to help me feed her cereal before she went to bed. In this picture she is trying to kiss Abby. Abby would have none of it. Sariah is a cute little girl. She loves babies and loved to be around Abby. I also have one more picture. This is a picture of Abby looking at a picture of herself on our computer screen. I thought it was cute. she was trying to grab the baby in the picture. I wonder if she knows it was her. She enjoys a lot of playing time now. Even more then before. She likes to roll down the hall and try to find me when I leave the room. She still likes the jump n go thing we have for her. She will jump for a while in that thing. She also is eating more solids now. Some of her favorites are peaches, bananas and oatmeal cereal. She still does not like peas or rice cereal, but I keep trying. Maybe someday she will tolerate peas. She hasn't been sleeping as well because of her teething. That will pass though. She really is handling the teeth well. Which is good. She is still as happy as ever and Rob and I enjoy having her.
Abby loves her Daddy! Everyday when he gets home she is so excited to see him. She jumps up and down while I am holding her. It is so cute. She has quite a personality now. She is so much fun! Rob and I are glad to have her. This is a picture of Rob and Abby. Abby fell asleep in Robs arms. I thought it was so cute. She likes to cuddle with Daddy when she is tired. We are now working on Abby being able to crawl. That one I am not working as hard with her, because I know that I will regret it once she can. I give her lots of tummy time. She is able to get up on her knees but she can't do her arms at the same time. She will get it though. She might just skip right to walking. She seams to like to stand a lot more then anything else. We will have to see.
This is a picture of Abby on the 4th of July. I put her in red white and blue. She looked so cute. My family came over to my house. We played some games and had a BBQ. Then we headed over to Salem ponds. It's a little lake in the center of town. My sisters kids went for a swim. I didn't take Abby in the lake because it was dirty. She can do that stuff when she is a little older. She had fun though. She liked playing with the grass she would run her fingers through it. It was fun. She as two cousins that adore her. They played with her and she stare at them eyes wide open. It was a fun 4th of July!
Oh! I cut my hair. I just gave myself some bangs. This is a really bad picture but it is all I have for right now. I swoop them to the side. The person who cut them cut them too short.
