Megan's blessing
I just want to thank all of you who read my blog and attended Megan's blessing. I really appreciate you for coming to both the blessing and the luncheon afterwords. It was nice to visit with everyone. Rob did a really good job blessing her. My mother made the beautiful blessing dress. Rob's Mom made Abby's and did a great job as well. They are both equally beautiful.
Megan was a good girl for the most part with just a little fussing not heard to many during the blessing. Rob's dad said that she was a little tilted head down for a portion of it and someone raised her head.
Abby wanted to go up with Rob during the blessing so I had to talk her through it and tell her what was going on. She really like her little sister Megan and wanted to see what was going on.
Again thank you for coming and for the help that was given.

I WANT IT TO BE SUMMER!
I just have to say I am so tired of it being cold. There was one day that it wasn't too bad and I was excited then it turned freezing again. I am tired of it. I want summer to come even though I am not a huge late summer fan. I just am so tired of winter. I can't wait until it's warm enough to take Megan outside to let Abby play at the park. Abby need to get her wiggles out. She has cabin fever and so do I. I know that spring is coming soon, but I wish it would come faster. OK enough complaining.
I'll update you on the kids and us. Abby is doing great she is putting whole sentences together now. It always surprises Rob how many words she can put together not only that but that she can structure a sentences together pretty well. Example: "Mom can I have some, please?" or "It's dark in here."
There is also a new development, she is afraid of dinosaurs. My nephew loves them and has several toy dinosaurs that move. She now tells me that there are dinosaurs coming, while pointing to the top of the stairs. She won't go up there with out me now. She also is afraid of the dark and will not go into a room if it is pitch black.
She picks out her own clothes and insists on it being that way. We have to some days come to an agreement that she picks out the shirt and I pick out the pants. She insists on picking out the shoes though. She hates to have me do her hair and always yells "ouch" even before I do anything. She also loves music and dancing. Last night Rob was flipping through channels and the BYU channel had dancers on it. She insisted on watching it. She would watch them for a little bit then attempt to do the dance. She actually did pretty good for a two year old. It was so cute. Rob and I would like to put her in dance someday when we can afford it. I think she would love it.
Megan is smiling good now and has on occasion giggled. She is such a well behaved baby we are so lucky. She loves her big sister Abby and continues to smile at her all the time. She is getting very big now. She is starting to move into 6-9 month clothing. She turns 3 months on Sunday. They are a little long on her but fit her better around the waist then 3-6.
As for the rest of the family, Rob will most likely be starting his freelance business full time in a month or so. We are a little nervous about it, but he has wanted to for some time now. As for me, I am just working on keeping my house somewhat in order and trying to loose my baby fat plus some extra added pounds I don't like. I also have this new hobby if you can call it a hobby. Coupon clipping and finding great deals. I have been cutting our food budget by almost half recently by using coupons and only buying what is on sale. Makes sense to others but I wasn't very good at it. I also buy large quantities when they have really good sales and just freeze it or store it. Anyways that's about it for now

Nicole's Baby shower
So my sister Nicole just had her 4th child it is a boy and they named him Alex. The gap between her first boy and her second boy is almost eight years so my sister Tahnee and my Mother decided to throw Nicole a shower to help with things that she may not have for a little boy. Plus she has miss placed a lot of her boy items.
We had fun! Abby stayed in the room and watched. She was very interested in what was going on in her house. We played a game called name that poop. My sister Tahnee melted about 8 candy bars and smashed them into diapers. Then we are suppose to name that candy bar that is in it. We can smell it, taste it and even eat it to determine what the candy bar was.
Well for some reason the images will not upload so here is a link to my sisters blog she has them on hers

I put together a collection of photos that are similar of Abby and Megan. Some of them they look a lot a like. Some of them not so much. Sorry about the scale ones, you can't even see Megan's face. Rob tried to get in there but it was crowded. You'll have to just click on the ones that look similar it wouldn't let me organize them they way I wanted them to be, or at least I couldn't figure it out.

Abby had a great Christmas this year. My parents gave her a new handmade by my Mom Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls and night gown. Which Abby loves very much. She asks to wear the night gown a lot. She calls them rough rough jammies. As you can see in the pictures they have dogs on them.
Tahnee gave her a play microwave, that she plays with a lot. Also a shopping cart, she loves them both.
We also did grandchildren gift exchange were each child had another child to buy a gift for. Keili had Abby and she got her a cute Disney princess camera.
Brad and Misty and Sarabeth gave her a Barbie Christmas ornament for the tree.
It was a lot of fun to see her open presents this year.

Christmas
We had an interesting Christmas this year. We had planned to go to Rob's family in the morning then go to mine later that day. We ended up not going to ether because of bad weather. It was a Christmas at home this year. Yesturday we went to Rob's family and had a late Christmas dinner and opened and exchanged gifts. It was fun.
Abby had a fun Christmas she got a little mommy set that comes with a stroller , a car seat, and a bassinet for her baby. It also came with a new baby and diaper bag. She played with her new toys all day. Santa Claus also gave her Sleeping Beauty for Christmas.
Grandma and Grandpa field gave Abby a little people doll house. She loves it by the way. She carries the baby around and plays with the furniture in the doll house. She also got a new very cute sweater and shirt that match Megan's new sweater and shirt. Rob and I got some great gifts to all of which we love. It was a good Christmas for us. I'll put up pictures later.

Christmas dresses
We finally took pictures of Abby and Megan in there Christmas dresses. Abby did not cooperate very well for us to get a really good picture of her and Megan together. She wouldn't even sit alone for us to get one of just her. We are going to attempt it again though. We did get some very cute ones of Megan. At least we think so.

Megan's 2 week well child check
Megan had her two week check up yesterday and I just had to make a post about it. I have been concerned for 2 weeks now about her eating enough. She eats every 3 to 4 hours because I wake her up. Sometimes she will not wake up until 6 hours and does not eat for very long. So basically I was worried that she was going to be less then her birth weight. Well they weighed her and she is 11 lbs 14 ozs. Wow! I don't need to worry anymore. She has well exceded her birth weight. So now I have just been letting her eat when she tells me. She only wakes up once at night to eat. I feel so blessed to have such great kids.

Megan was born on Dec. 1st
Well, I was scheduled to be induced on Monday morning and at about 1:30am I was laying in bed and all of a sudden I felt pressure then a pop and water started to leak out. Well to make this short my water did break I had to go to sit on the toilet for a while before I could get dressed. I finally had to just get dressed and wear a pad to catch some of it leaking out. The funny part of this story is that Rob had just climbed into bed at about 1:00 pm ( he's a night owl ).
We headed to the hospital and they tested it and sure enough it was my water. So they called my doctor and he wanted them to wait and see if my body would dilate on it's own. On the way to the hospital I started to have contractions. Well I did dilate but it was slow about 1 cm an hour. I did ask for an epidural right away. I did not want to have to suffer through the contractions, I am a big baby. I finally got to almost a ten and stopped progressing. I had what they called a lip all the way around my cervix. At this point I could feel my contractions. They started to get painful, tolerable but still hurting. They would not give me another dose of the epidural because I was almost a ten. Well, three hours later and after putting me on pitocin and continually increasing it. I finally made it to a ten. By this point I could feel all of the pain, well I think I did because it hurt so bad. As soon as I started to push it felt so much better. Megan was facing the wrong was so my doctor had to turn her. I have never pushed so hard in my life. Finally at 1:14 pm she was born. My very last push was the last strength I had left in me. She did come out vaginally and was healthy and no broken bones on delivery. I only had a level one episiotemy as well.
Well, she weighted 9 pounds 13 ounces. She was 21 inches long. She is beautiful and we love her so very much.
