WHENEVER MY KIDS DO SOMETHING THAT HURTS OR MAKES THE OTHER CRY THEY HAVE TO SAY SORRY AND GIVE KISSES AND HUGS.
MEGAN TRIES SO HARD TO FULLFIL MY REQUEST AND ABBY MOST OF THE TIME JUST TRIES TO MOVE AWAY.
I WATCHED MY FRIENDS NEWBORN BABY THIS MORNING AND MEGAN LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. I LET HER FEED THE BABY AND SHE WAS DELIGHTED. ROB TOOK A PICTURE SO WE COULD REMEMBER IT.
ABBY DID A GREAT JOB HOLDING HER TOO.
THE BABIES NAME IS CLAIR AND SHE WAS BORN IN THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER.
I’LL BE HONEST HOLDING AND WATCHING A BABY MADE ME REALIZE THAT I LIKE HAVING KIDS THAT HAVE LESS DEMAND ON MY TIME.
Everything was FREE. You know me I love a good deal. So of course we went. We got Free Hot Dogs, Free Chips, Free Bottled Water or pop I chose water, a ball, and rides. I even put my name in for a raffle to win something and what do you know I won. Funny thing is I had just told my friend that I never win anything. What did I win, a bag of suckers. Hey at least I won something, finally!
Just so you know. This Carnival was back in August. I had to post it though it was too much fun. Plus this blog has become my journal. Not a great one but at least it’s something right?
Abby had a blast and asked to go back many times to this Splash Pad. We did a few times.
Yes Abby is doing Megan’s hair. I tried to come to the rescue but Megan wanted Abby to do her hair. So I took pictures.
This was a month ago but here are some pictures of Abby’s first day of school.
Loves to push these. Why not it makes it so much easier to open doors.
She was so excited. I got a little sad not bad I just thought about the fact that Abby is growing up. I know she’s only going to preschool, but still. In two more years she starts her trek down the Elementary life, then Junior High and then High school. I am scared to death to be a parent to a Teenager AHHH!! Reality check that is still along ways away.
Abby and Tyler waiting for the door to open so they can enter there class room
Abby playing with block while all the other kids come to school.
Fun stuff. She truly loves to go to school.
Abby and Megan waiting for the lesson to start.
Very First Day!. A little nervous but excited too.
She did finally get in and she smiled the entire time. I am not sure if the smile was from being cold or just excited and having a lot of fun.
Look at her go. She is getting so much better. She is learning how to actually get somewhere swimming now. When she first started she kept saying “I’m going backwards” when she was trying to go forward. She now books it. My little swimmer, at least with a life jacket on.
The teacher was trying to get Abby to blow bubbles. She hates to get her face wet. She has improved a ton by taking these lessons.
Abby’s second set of swimming lessons with her friend Zoe.
I’ve been getting frustrated with Abby (my 3 1/2 year old) keeping her room clean. So I made pictures to put on each of her toy drawers. This makes it so that she knows where everything goes. Then when she is done playing she cleans her toys up. It has been two weeks sense I did this and it is working. She loves to know where to put things and how to keep her room clean.
Helpful tip on how to organize little kids toys.
Well here goes another post that will be a loner for another two months.
What a cutie. I can’t believe that she is 20 months old. What happened? She is growing up too fast.
Megan is such a funny kid and not very many people get to see that in her. She is very shy just like Abby. My Mom and Dad where visiting last night and Megan ran around being her cute little self and they were surprised. They didn’t know she had such a cute personality.
We made a tent. Well kind of a tent. I was trying to get some stuff done upstairs so I tried to distract the girls with something fun. It lasted about 20 minutes then they were done. But hey, in 20 minutes I got a lot done.
Oh and yes Megan is not wearing pants. After I changed her diaper she refused to put her pants back on. Not worth fighting with her sense we weren’t going anywhere and bath time was in about 1 hour. So, no pants.
That reminds me. The other day Abby decided that she wanted to help Megan learn how to use the potty. So, she pulled out the potty training potty. Showed her how to pull her pants down and take her diaper off. Then helped her sit on the potty. She then continued to instruct her on how you sit and go potty. She actually did go. It was the most exciting day for everyone .
Abby was so excited that she helped Megan and Megan just kept saying “I did it” over and over again. It was so cute.
Than a few days later. Abby leaned on the bench by our front door next to Megan and talked to her more about how you go in the potty. She acted like a little Mommy it was so cute. I wished my video camera was on hand I would have recorded the whole thing.
Just too tired to wait for dinner.
I was making dinner one Sunday. After it was ready I went to get everyone and Megan and Abby was asleep. Just too tired to wait for dinner I guess.
Abby making Jell-O all by herself. She came and told me that she wanted to make this, and she pointed to a box of Jell-O. I was in the middle of something and asked if it could wait just a minute. So Abby went and did it herself. She got out a bowl and opened the box and dumped the contents of the package into the bowl. Luckily I made it into the kitchen at this point, so I could help her finish. She is my little chef. She loves to cook. I can put her at the stove and tell her to stir something and she will do a great job at it. She knows safety around hot stuff and sharp objects, DO NOT TOUCH! Problem is that Megan wants to do everything that Abby is doing so Megan has to be watched at all times. Makes cooking a little more tough.
We have a lot of fun at our house.
We Learned the letter “W” this week. So we went for a Walk picking Wild flowers and Whistled along the way. We Watched Wild birds fly using there Wings. Frosted cookies with White frosting. Went to the Water park. Feed the ducks at the Water Pond with white bread.
We had a lot of fun!
We decided to go see the Bean Museum a couple of weeks ago. Just getting in the door was a challenge. Megan and Abby were nervous to get close to the animals. I had to pick them both up to walk in the doors. If you have never been to the museum before they have right near the front doors a lion, bear, wolf, and other scary looking animals. They are dead of course but the girls needed to warm up to the idea that they weren't alive.
It was fun though. They have a paper with a scavenger hunt for preschoolers. She just had to look at the image on the paper and find the animal in the museum. Abby loved it. She was determined to find every animal on that paper.
While we were there they did to presentations. One was about plants and insects. The other was similar he just showed different insects. It was a fun trip to the Bean Museum.
